At Total Performance Centre, we take our Group Fitness seriously! We use the latest technology Schwinn Spin Bikes, weights and equipment, and have different classes to suit your preferred style and end goals. Why not try a few different classes and see what you like the most. If you already do Yoga or Pilates in Newcastle, then our Spin, Turbata and Lunchbox classes are an excellent addition to your routine. If you already do Crossfit in Newcastle or want to give it a try then our 'Raise The Bar' Strength & Conditioning sessions are for you. We don't train Crossfit, we train you and provide you with the means to take yourself to the next level, no matter where you start your journey.
If you are a beginner, have no fear as we'll look after you. We will introduce you to the right style of class and set you up so that you get the full experience without over-doing it on your first go. This helps your trainer get to know your abilities and where to take you next!

Group Fitness Classes
Raise The Bar (RTB)
A structured Strength and Conditioning class that is designed to help people achieve multiple goals:
1/ Improved posture, 2/ Get stronger, 3/ Accelerate FAT Loss like no other class can. The class caters for all levels from beginner to advanced. It has been designed so as to be able to take a beginner with NO experience in strength training right up to being able to lift barbells, dumbbells & kettlebells safely and to perform functional movements under load to make significant structural changes to a persons posture.
Total Body Conditioning (TBC)
TBC is a 1/2 hour class held during lunchtime. It has been designed to be hard, fun and to give you a big bang for your work out buck in your lunch hour. TBC is a mixture of Spin Intervals and Tabata workouts. It is suitable for all levels and is a great way to fire your metabolism up in the middle of the day, to get you ready for the afternoon at work.
This Spin Class has longer intervals that really get the number of calories burned going through the roof plus it creates a vast improvement in your cardiovascular system.
This is our custom Tuesday and Thursday evening half spin, half strength/ circuit training. The spin class starts off slow and builds to 1 or 2 high paced intervals. It is designed to warm you up and de-stress you from a days work and get you in to the mood to go hard in the later part of the spin class and ready to work hard in the weights room. In the strength area we mix it up between a circuit based training and a high intensity strength program. It keep people guessing. You never know what you are going to get each night.
